Trey's 3 Year BirthDAY!!!!

After an entire weekend of celebrating, followed by homemade cake pops for school on Monday, Trey's actual birthday finally arrived on Tuesday! Yay!!!! Since Mommy and Daddy both had to work, I made extra cake balls for Trey to have at Jean's house. All the kids sang happy birthday and ate cake when the kids got off the school bus. I even let Trey take his new scooter to Jean's, since he was so excited.

That evening, we went to McDonald's and got Trey nuggets and sweet tea (his favorite), picked up subs from Harris Teeter, and headed to Dorton Park for a picnic. It was beautiful outside, and the kids had so much fun! We even opened presents there- Trey got a brand new watch (he has been asking for a clock on his arm, just like Dada), and his very own set of real Legos (the small kind). He was so excited, and that made it extra fun to celebrate. We ended our time at the park by singing Happy Birthday and eating chocolate cake. It started raining right as we were leaving, so the timing was perfect. A great way to celebrate his birthday!

As soon as we got home, Trey and I spread out all of his new legos and we made a house, a cow, and a tractor. It took me FOREVER (I forgot how detailed Legos can be), but it was so much fun to see his excitement. That night, he wore his new watch to bed, and slept with his Lego tractor.

Today was Trey's 3 year well check, and he did awesome. He knew all of his numbers, had his first blood pressure check (and he didn't even cry when the machine squeezed his arm), and he passed his eye test when he knew all of his shapes (they tested with circles, squares, hearts, and houses)! Another proud Mommy moment :). Here are the stats:

Weight: 30 pounds exactly- 31st percentile
Height: 37"- 34th percentile

His ears didn't look good, but we already knew that, and his surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. Hopefully the "third set of tubes is a charm"...
