Carrington had her 18 month check up on April 30th with Dr. Lods. It went exactly as expected- she is definitely at the low end of normal when it comes to her verbal skills. This is apparently exactly what they expect for "second children". Dr. Lods even joked that "fourth children" are basically mute until Kindergarten! This visit was surprisingly relaxing for me, since I had the luxury of leaving Trey at home (Doug came home early, so I didn't have to brave the doctor's office with both kids- I'm not kidding, Trey becomes a MANIAC in the doctor's office!!!). Other than her verbal skills of 5 words (and that's stretching it), she is amazing, perfect, wonderful, and everything else spectacular. :)
Her stat's for the day:
Weight: 21 pounds 14 ounces (16th percentile)
Height: 31" (32nd percentile)
Head Circumference: 46.6 (48th percentile)
So, she's not the biggest chick on the block, but that's ok!
Trey's stats at 18 months were shocking, compared to their usual gap:
Weight: 22.06 pounds (9th percentile)
Height: 32 inches (14th percentile)
Head Circumference: 26.5 (17th percentile)
Trey had a WAY smaller head than Carrington, that's for sure! This is also when he started really slowing down on the weight gain and slimming out! I have a feeling their stats won't be too far apart going forward!
Carrington really is a sweetheart. She has the funniest personality, and loves to have a good time! This afternoon, when she got up from her nap, I was putting away laundry, and she was playing with some of my jewelry and old shoes. That chick cracks me up! Nothing was more fun to her than sporting fancy bracelets and parading around in high heels! She is definitely a girl after my own heart!
