28 Weeks Old, and so much happening!

Today is Friday, October 2nd- Trey's 28 week birthday- and the start of a great weekend! The good news is that Trey is feeling 100 times better and he is back to his old self. After recovering from a very nasty stomach bug, Trey had a fun week.

This week at school, Trey and Miss Amy made hand spiders :). Next week they are making ghost feet- very cool. At the recommendation of 2 of my friends- and after hearing what a great time Trey's cousin Evan had at Gymboree- we went ahead and tried it out. It was one of the most fun things we have done in a while! We had such a great time with the other babies and mommies, that we signed up! So from now on, every Thursday afternoon, we will be going to Gymboree for Play & Learn time.

This week Trey also started eating Yo Baby Yogurt. He hasn't loved a new food this much since sweet potatos! He has also started making a cute, but weird, face when he smiles- it's like he is trying to get used to the new teeth in his mouth!

We are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend to come up- we are going to the Lazy 5 Ranch, an adoption party, and the Redskins game on Sunday... stay tuned!

6 Month Doctor's Appointment

It's alway fun going to the doctor (for well checks) to see how big Trey has gotten! This visit was "mixed" with excitement and worry, since Trey has had a stomach bug and not been feeling well. Here are his 6 Month Stats:

Weight: 17 pounds, 9 ounces
Height: 27 1/2"
Head Circumference: 43 cm

50th percentile for all 3! So he is exactly where he should be straight across the board!

He received all of his vaccinations, along with the flu shot, and he did great. I have to admit, Trey does amazing with shots. He cried for maybe 10 seconds, and then he was fine!

The tough part was that he has had this crazy upset stomach and has been throwing up. About 2 hours after his appointment, he started vomitting enough to scare me, and we headed back to the doctor's office. Luckily, it was not an allergic reaction to the shots (the flu shot has egg in it, so you have to be careful), but needless to say, Trey is still not feeling so hot. Hopefully he will be feeling better soon!

Weekend in Virginia AND My 6 Month Birthday!

This was a big weekend! We had our first plane trip with our friends Ashley and Ella, and Trey did amazing! He didn't sleep at all, but he was happy and talking the entire time. We got to visit several of our "baby friends"- Madison and Emma Musick, Ethan Dellinger, and of course, Little Miss Rylee! We also went to visit NaniJay at school, we spent some time with Big Daddy, and we got to go for a ride on Uncle Brian's shoulders!

I am now sitting up completely by myself, my bottom 2 teeth are completely "in", and I can reach out and help Mama and Dada get me out of my Jumperoo. I can also reach for someone who wants to hold me, and I sit in big boy high chairs at restaurants now too!

My best accomplishment of the weekend was my brand new vocabulary! I say "BaBaBaBaBa" all the time, and it's just a waiting game to find out what will come first... "MaMa" or "DaDa"!

Stroller Crazy- Sept. 20, 2009

Trey and I were waiting in Panera to meet our friends- Carrie and Ethan, and Trey just got so excited that I had to videotape it! He was going NUTS!!! I don't know if it was his new stroller or the weird orchestra music in the background, but something got him going!

Labor Day Weekend 2009

We didn't have any big plans for Labor Day weekend this year. We spent the time as a family, went to a cookout with some friends on Sunday, and mostly just relaxed. Trey and his Mommy played a lot in his room. Enjoy the pictures!

My First Day of School! Sept. 8, 2009

Today was a sad day for Mommy and Daddy! Trey had his first day of preschool today! He is attending Memorial Day Preschool, just a few minutes from Mommy's office. He will be going there every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 1:00pm. I was so brave on my first day!

Trey was such a big boy and he did so great at school today, we celebrated by going to the playground and spending some time on the swings!

First Time at the Beach! August 28, 2009

We all went to Carolina Beach for the weekend and had a great time! It was Trey's first time in the Ocean, we got to spend lots of time with Little Miss Rylee, Trey got "dunked" in the water for the first time, and we even surprised Grandpop at the retirement community! It was such a fun weekend! AND we found out that Trey has BOTH bottom teeth coming in- and they are sharp!!! No wonder they hurt so bad coming in!

Playtime on a Lazy Sunday!

I turned 22 weeks old on Friday! In my world, this is what I do....

I am now eating 4 foods, and rice cereal: Sweet Potato, Avocado, Banana, and Applesauce. My Mommy makes all of my food from scratch!

I wake up and start my day at around 8:30am, I eat 2 times a day (lunch and dinner), I take a morning nap and an afternoon nap, I LOVE my jumperoo, I can play by myself on my playmat for about 30 minutes at a time, I can roll everywhere, and scoot my way all the way across the room! I don't think my Mommy and Daddy are ready for me to be mobile! I also grab my feet and roll on my belly at every chance I get. My bedtime is between 8pm and 9pm, and I sleep in about 5 to 6 hour stretches.

My likes: Eating with a spoon, my Jumperoo, any toy that plays music, Molly my Doggy, and spending time with my Mama and Dada! I also love the pool!

My dislikes: The carseat, waking up in the middle of the night by myself, and NOT spending my time with Mama and Dada!

My Mommy's Birthday!

Mommy turned 28 on August 16th, and as a gift to her, Daddy and I got her a new camera. She has been taking my picture ever since!!! I should have known better...
