Eating with a Spool for the First Time! 7-31-09

Today is Trey's 19 week birthday- which is a big day all by itself, but we ALSO started solid foods (rice cereal) with a spoon at dinner tonight! I can't say that he loved it, but I think it went pretty well. It definitely wore him out, because he was asleep by the end of dinner :). He is getting so big so fast and I am loving watching him learn and change every day. Enjoy the pics!

Trey's Highchair! 7-26-09

In preparation for starting solid foods, we decided to let Trey get used to using the highchair with us at dinner. So far, so good! He loves being up high with us, which has made dinner time more enjoyable for everyone!

Trey's 4 Month Doctor's Appointment

Our last piece of fun, new news was Trey's 4 month doctor's visit on July 21st! Here are the stats:

15 pounds, 11 ounces (in the 75th percentile)
26 1/2" long (in the 95th percentile)
Head Circumferance 42 (in the 50th percentile)

Clearly, he is a tall, healthy boy with a slightly small head :). We will start feeding him solid foods- which is actually just soupy rice cereal- in the next few weeks, and from there we will add fruits and vegetables! I can't believe how fast he is growing!

Some New Toys! 7-25-09

Grammy and Papa came to visit with NaniJay and Big Daddy and Grammy bought Trey a big, fancy jumperoo that he LOVES!!! It has been a constant source of laughter in our family from the moment we brought it home!

We also had dinner with friends on July 25th and realized (thanks to Ashley) that Trey can tripod sit using toys, which is so fun! The best part of this day is that when we came home that night, Trey actually slept through the ENTIRE night!!! I am not joking- this day will go down in history as the first night he ever actually slept through the night. He went to bed at 8pm and didn't wake up even once until 5:45am!!! Of course, I was up every hour after midnight checking on him because I was so shocked that he was still sleeping. Hopefully he will do it again so I can actually get some sleep this time!

Grandma, Grandpa, and Grandpop also came to visit!

While Brian, Melissa, and Rylee were here, Grandpop, Grandma, and Grandpa also came to spend some time! Grandpop took us all out to eat in the City, and we had a great time!

Brian, Melissa, and Rylee come to visit!

Trey loves his baby cousin and he is trying to comfort her... I'm not sure she is feeling comforted, though :).

Uncle Brian, Aunt Melissa and Little Miss Rylee came to visit Trey this month! They had a ton of fun, and even got to spend some time with Becky and Evan! They all loved the pool, although we still aren't too sure if Trey liked sharing his swim crab with Rylee, but it was a great visit!

We also got to have beautiful family pictures taken with the cousins- and they came out wonderful! Enjoy!

4th of July!

We threw a big party on 4th of July and Trey stayed up the entire time (almost) and watched all of the fireworks. It was a great night!

More Firsts!

Trey rolled over for the first time on July 3rd! He was exactly 15 weeks old, and I am so proud! He rolled from back to belly- he hasn't quite mastered getting from his belly to his back, but I'm sure it will happen soon!

Trey also celebrated his first holiday- the 4th of July! We were so lucky to celebrate with great friends, and I will post pictures soon.
