Halloween WEEK, and learning to crawl! 32 Weeks Old!

In preparation for the "Big Day" of Halloween, we did a little bit of dressing up each day. I figure, there will only be a few opportunities in Trey's life where I can dress him up in silly, but adorable, costumes and he will have no say in it, so we took full advantage!

Our really big news of the week is that Trey has begun crawling! I'm not sure if this is a full-on crawl or not, but he wiggles and inches along to get where he needs to go. It is so cute! I'm sorry about the video- I was a little loud at the beginning, but Trey was doing so great! I give full credit to the other babies at Gymboree that Trey has been watching for weeks now... I knew it was only a matter of time before he got the hang of it.

Rural Hill Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch Oct. 25, 2009

We spent the day as a family last Sunday and went to Rural Hill to find our way OUT of the corn maze. Needless to say, an hour and a half into it, we gave up, asked to be pointed in the right direction for the exit and called it an afternoon! It was a lot of fun, but my brain could not handle going in circles any more! We took some fun pictures at the Pumpkin Patch, so enjoy!

I'm 31 Weeks or 7 Months Old! 10-23-09

This week we joined the other Lake Norman Hip Mommas (don't laugh at the name- we are VERY cool) and walked Jetton Park. We also had another great Gymboree date, where we practiced trying to crawl up "mountains"- which is basically a slide with a mat on it! On Friday, Trey slept in until after 9am, we had lunch with Daddy and then Trey took a 2 hour nap! I don't know what all this sleeping is about, but it sure makes him a happy boy! We also tried Turkey for the first time... I can honestly say that this is NOT Trey's favorite food, but I'm sure he will one day love it!

Some New Gear and Week 30- Almost 7 Months Old!

This week brought some true fall weather, which was such a nice change! With the fall weather, there will be more trips to the park, so what do we need??? A new jogging stroller! The current strollers we have feel more like off-roading the second we aren't on pavement anymore. We also got to wish Uncle Brian (on the Keenan side) a very Happy Birthday, with a fun sign :). Trey has started riding front and center in the shopping carts at the grocery store and Target- SO FUN! Daddy also decided to let Trey "try" his Klondike bar this week... luckily Mommy came in and interrupted this fun treat, or who knows where we would be now! We later caught Daddy letting Trey taste turkey- we love Daddy, but sometimes we're not sure what he is thinking!

Week 29- A Very Busy Week for Us!

This week has been busy doing all sorts of things! At school, Miss Amy and Trey made ghost feet, which are adorable! We also had lunch with our cousin Becky, Evan, and Aunt Deb! Can you believe this was Deb's first time finally meeting Trey??? We had Gymboree on Thursday- always a blast! This week the class focused on balance, and we "rode" the bouncy caterpillar and canoe with the other babies. Today we had our first play date with Bennett. This was lots of fun because Bennett and Trey are only 3 days apart. Trey is the "older man" and we think Bennett may have a little crush!!!! :)
We also tried on Trey's Halloween costume and it is the most adorable thing EVER, but we will save those pictures for the end of the month!

Trey's 6 Month Photos!

Trey's 6 Month photos came in this week, and they look amazing! I have to be honest, I wasn't super excited about getting these back. Not because Melody is a bad photographer (she is amazing, which you can see), but because all 3 of us were sick during this photo shoot! And, to top it off, Trey was in a terrible mood, but somehow Melody still managed to take some beautiful pictures.

October 4th Weekend- Lazy 5 Ranch, a party, and a Sippy Cup!

We had a great weekend, so I had to share a few new pictures and give you an update! Doug, Trey, and I all visited the Lazy 5 Ranch on Saturday, where we got to pet and feed (up close and personal) the deer, ostriches, giraffes, bison, llamas, cows, zebras, and a multitude of other animals I'm not even sure I recognize! Doug was much braver than me, and he actually let Trey pet the llamas, zebras,... and Trey fed- all by himself- a giraffe! Unfortunately, I missed the picture, but at least I have the story to tell. This outing was a ton of fun, and I can't wait until Trey is a little bit older to go again!

We also went to our friend Jonathon's adoption party. This was extra special because Trey got to spend time with his friend, Ben- who is the closest baby in age to Trey in the neighborhood. Ben is also one of the few boys in our community, so Ben's mommy and I are sure they are going to be best friends!

Doug and I also decided to start letting Trey practice with a sippy cup. Trey is fascinated by EVERYTHING that we do, and he always wants to be a "big boy", so here we go! He did great the first time, so we'll keep using it a little bit every day.
